Kalimpong, Gangtok and Darjeeling Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Bagdogra - Transfer to Kalimpong (By Surface 84 kilometres / 3 hours)

At An Altitude Of 1250 Metres, Kalimpong’s Location Is Ideal For A Pleasant And Relaxed Getaway. Its Clement Weather Has Made Kalimpong’s Orchids And Gladiole Well Renowned. Up To The Early 1700S, Kalimpong Was Part Of The Sikkim Raja’s Domain. In The Early 18Th Century, The Bhutan King Also Took It Over. In 1865, After The Anglo-Bhutan War, It Was Annexed To Darjeeling. Scottish Missionaries Came Here In The Late 1800S. The Town Thrived As A Wool Trading Center With Tibet Till 1950S. Today, It’s A Quiet Hill Resort And A Haven For Retired People.

Day 2 : Kalimpong - Gangtok (By Surface 80 kilometres / 3 hours)

After Enjoying A Buffet Breakfast, Proceed For A City Tour Visiting Zang Dog Palri Fo Brang Monastery, Tharpa Choling Monastery, Thongsa Gumpa And Flower Nurseries. In The Afternoon, Drive To Gangtok (5500 Feet /1677 Metres, 80 Kilometres/3 Hours). Upon Arrival, Proceed For Check-In To Your Hotel.
Spend The Evening At Leisure. Stay Overnight At The Hotel In Gangtok.

Day 3 : Gangtok Sightseeing

After A Delicious Buffet Breakfast, You Will Be Driven To Rumtek Monastery (24 Kilometres), Do-Drul Chorten Or Stupa, Tibetology Institute, Cottage Industry, Flower Show, Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok And Hanuman Tok. Then Visit The Directorate Of Handicraft & Handloom And Witness The Flower Show.

Day 4 : Gangtok - Darjeeling (By Surface 105 kilometres / 4.5 hours)

After Breakfast, Depart Gangtok For Darjeeling. Upon Arrival At Darjeeling, Check In To Your Hotel. In The Afternoon, Proceed For Half-Day Tour Of Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock And Gompa Rock. Later, Visit The Tibetan Refugee Help Center. At Approximately 4 Am, You Will Visit Tiger Hill To See The Beautiful Sunrise Over Mount Everest, The Highest Mountain Peak In The World (Subject To Clear Weather). On Your Way Back, Stop At The Ghoom Monastery, The Holiest Monastery In Darjeeling And Batasia Loop. After This, Return To The Hotel For Breakfast. After Breakfast, Go For A Full-Day Excursion To Mirik Lake (Boating And Mule Ride Would Be On Direct Payment Basis) And Pashupati Market And Then Return To Darjeeling. In The Evening, Return To Your Hotel Or Walk Around The Streets Of The Colonial City That Darjeeling Is. Stay Overnight At The Hotel In Darjeeling.
